Commercial & Box Gutters in Fort Myers, Naples & Cape Coral

Commercial roofs move a lot more water than a house. Long eaves, metal roofs and big flat runs send so much rain into the gutter that a standard 5″ or 6″ system overflows, and the water ends up on the sidewalk, in the landscaping or against the building.

The Brothers That Just Do Gutters install, repair and maintain gutters on condo and HOA buildings, plazas, offices, restaurants, churches, warehouses and metal buildings across Lee and Collier counties. We also install roll-formed box gutters and valance on carports and manufactured homes.

We’re veteran-owned and state-licensed (CBC1270165), our own crews do the work, and we work directly with property managers, boards, owners and general contractors.

QUICK ANSWER

What size gutters does a commercial building need?

Most commercial and multi-building jobs we do get 7″ seamless gutters, often with oversized 4×5 downspouts. On big or metal roofs, water can overshoot a 6″ gutter in moderate to heavy rain, so we size the gutter to the roof area and the downspouts to the run. We’ll measure and tell you what the building needs.

BOX GUTTERS

Roll-formed box gutters for carports and manufactured homes

Box gutters are the square-profile gutters you see on aluminum carports and many manufactured homes. Over time the old ones fill with debris, sag and leak at the ends.

We replace them with new 5″ roll-formed aluminum box gutter and roll-formed valance. The valance runs along the sides, keeps water in the system and acts as the end caps.

  • 5″ roll-formed aluminum box gutter in white
  • Roll-formed valance on the sides of the carport
  • New 3×4 downspouts placed so the system drains the way it should

Have an old built-in box gutter on a commercial building that keeps failing? In many cases we’ll recommend replacing it with a 7″ seamless gutter and a 4×5 downspout. We’ll look at it and tell you straight.

WHAT WE INSTALL

THE LICENSE GAP

Only 12 of 91 gutter companies in Southwest Florida hold a Florida contractor’s license

In July 2026 we checked every gutter company advertising in Lee and Collier counties against the state’s licensee database. Just 12 of the 91 hold a valid state license, and we’re one of them.

“Licensed and insured” isn’t a license number

Almost every contractor says it. Very few can show you a state number. A city or county business tax receipt is just a tax registration: no exam, no insurance check, no bond. Only a state license from the Florida DBPR authorizes gutter installation.

Why it matters to you:

  • Insurance. If an unlicensed contractor’s work causes damage, your carrier can dispute the claim.
  • Liability. Unlicensed crews often carry no workers’ comp. If someone falls off your roof, that can land on you.
  • Warranty. An unlicensed contractor’s contract can’t be enforced, so the warranty is worth nothing.
  • No safety net. Florida’s Homeowners’ Construction Recovery Fund only covers work by licensed contractors.

CHECK ANY CONTRACTOR IN 15 SECONDS

  1. Ask for the state license number, not a business tax receipt.
  2. Search it at myfloridalicense.com under “Verify a Licensee.”
  3. Make sure it says Current, Active, and the name matches the company on your estimate.

Undersized gutters hanging from rotted fascia on a two-story commercial plaza in Fort Myers, FL
What a bad install looks like: undersized gutters on fascia too rotted to hold them.

WHY 7-INCH

Bigger roofs need bigger gutters

This is what we see too often on commercial buildings: gutters too small for the roof, hung on fascia that’s rotted out and can’t hold them. Water overflows, soaks the fascia, and the whole run starts pulling away.

A gutter can only carry so much water. On a long commercial roof, or a metal roof where rain comes off fast, a 6″ gutter fills up and water shoots right over the front in a heavy storm.

A 7″ gutter carries much more water, and 4×5 downspouts drain it faster. We also use .032 aluminum, the thickest available, so long runs hold up to Southwest Florida wind and rain.

Commercial & box gutter questions, answered

Do you do commercial gutters?

Yes. We install, repair and clean gutters on condo and HOA buildings, plazas, offices, restaurants, churches, schools, warehouses and metal buildings across Lee and Collier counties.

Why 7-inch gutters instead of 6-inch?

On large roofs and metal roofs, water can overshoot a 6″ gutter in moderate to heavy rain. A 7″ gutter carries more water, and paired with 4×5 downspouts it drains faster. We size each building after we measure it.

What is a box gutter?

A box gutter is a square-profile gutter. In Southwest Florida you see them most on aluminum carports and manufactured homes. We install 5″ roll-formed aluminum box gutters with roll-formed valance.

Can you replace an old box gutter?

Yes. On carports and manufactured homes we replace it with new roll-formed box gutter and valance. On a commercial building, we often replace a failing box gutter with a 7″ seamless gutter and a 4×5 downspout. We’ll tell you which makes sense.

Can you do a whole community in phases?

Yes. We’ve done multi-building communities building by building, with a separate scope and invoice for each phase, so the association can plan and budget.

Do you work as a subcontractor?

Yes. We work as the gutter contractor for roofing, restoration and building companies.

Do you offer recurring cleanings for commercial properties?

Yes. We set up scheduled cleanings, twice a year or more often if the trees call for it, and flush underground drains while we’re there.

Can you match our building colors?

Yes. Seamless gutters come in white, bronze, ivory, almond, browns, green, blue, grays and more, and downspouts can be a different color to match trim.

Does a gutter company need a license in Florida?

Yes. Installing gutters for pay in Florida requires a state contractor’s license from the DBPR. A city or county business tax receipt is not a contractor’s license. Ask for the number and look it up at myfloridalicense.com. Ours is CBC1270165.
